Pre-Screening of Adverse Employment Actions
The Pre-Screening of Adverse Employment Actions Program allows Trust Members to vet potentially adverse employment related actions before taking them. By discussing the legal ramifications of employment determinations with an attorney before taking action, Members can reduce the likelihood of a claim occurring, or at the very least, provide for a successful defense in the event of a claim.
The Program should be accessed at the earliest indication that an employment related action might happen. It is important that the Member consult the panel counsel well before a final determination with respect to the employment issue is made, and certainly before it is conveyed to the employee.
