In addition to providing outstanding insurance coverage through our Property/Liability Pool, Workers' Compensation Pool, Health Pool, Dental Pool, and Group Life Program, as well as personalized claims and Member services, The Trust also offers special incentive plans and risk management services exclusive to Trust Members.

Trust Ownership Participation Shares (TOPS)

One of the benefits of insuring with The Trust is that all Members share in the success of the company. This is achieved with rate stability and when warranted, the TOPS dividend program. TOPS is an acronym for Trust Ownership Participation Shares, with a heavy emphasis on the second and third words--Ownership and Participation. The TOPS program is designed to return a portion of the ownership equity (fund balance) to our Members when it's well in excess of operating costs and maintaining premium stability. Because The Trust is non-profit, any "profits" realized belong exclusively to Trust Members. When they are issued, TOPS Dividends recognizes that our Members have created a positive equity position through sound loss prevention practices and collaborative risk-sharing.

Risk Management Scholarship and Safety Enhancement Grant Programs

These programs have been developed to provide financial assistance to Members or Member employees who wish to advance their skills in the area of risk management or to help in the purchase of safety equipment or services that assist in the reducing the frequency and severity of claims.
