Confined Space Entry Safety

The Confined Space Entry Workshop will address specific practices and procedures to safeguard employees from the hazards of confined and enclosed spaces including oxygen deficiency, mechanical hazards and other safety and health hazards. Information will be provided on recognition of confined spaces and their issues, and specific safe work practices for testing, monitoring and ventilating the atmosphere; isolation of energy sources (lockout-tagout); respirators; standby/rescue; and addressing general physical hazards such as temperature extremes, engulfment hazards, slick surfaces and noise.  Key topics will include...

OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Course

The Trust is pleased to sponsor this 10-hour safety training course developed by Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) to provide workers, supervisors and other personnel responsible for construction activities with an awareness of the safety requirements required by OSHA.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to identify OSHA regulatory requirements for construction sites and work knowledgeably within OSHA’s construction standards. Topics will include: Focus 4 Hazards (Falls, Electrocution, Struck By, Caught In Between); Introduction to OSHA; Personal Protective Equipment; Stairway & Ladders; Health Hazards in Construction (Noise, Chemicals, Respiratory Protection); and Tools - Hand and Power.

All attendees will receive an OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry manual and a wallet card issued by OSHA certifying that they have successfully completed the 10 hour course. Participants must attend both days for certification qualification.
