Return to Work Program

As part of any employer's solid risk management strategy, The Trust encourages all Workers' Compensation Members to develop a written Return-to-Work Program for injured employees.

The primary function of such program is to provide temporary job accommodations that allow injured or disabled employees to return to the workplace as soon as possible after a work-related injury or illness. This usually happens under physician-ordered working conditions known as "work restrictions" - which typically means that employees have the ability to return to work, but can only perform light, modified or transitional duties until they are well enough to perform their former job functions at full capacity.
