Drug and Alcohol Consortium
The Trust Drug and Alcohol Testing Consortium was developed to enable Members to comply with the Federal Department of Transportation requirements regarding the testing of Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) holders and applicable personnel. This hassle-free and administratively simple testing pool for Members has been designed to help mitigate the costs of implementing the testing and education requirements of the Federal Mandate.
The Consortium is a value-added Trust benefit that offers four valuable resources at little or no cost to participating Members:
- Model Policy Development
- Random Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Reasonable Suspicion Training for Supervisors
- Ongoing Member Support of Drug and Alcohol-Related Issues
The Trust partners with Occupational Drug Testing to administer the Program. Working together, The Trust's Drug and Alcohol Testing Model Policy for Member Commercial Motor Vehicle Drivers was developed and has been adopted by all Trust Member Consortium participants.
